i woke up early today because it would be the last day (for a month and a half) that was not my own. it is common knowledge i believe that i have a hard time giving my time to anyone. i begin to resent the time taker immediately and then fall into a depression masked my a heavy coat of defiance. this little place on the internet has been neglected for a while. but i will begin regular updates after this day that is not mine is over. because tomorrow, tomorrow is mine.

i am not here to entertain anyone. BUT I WILL

I have thought about art every day since i can remember. every medium ever. the least explored has been writing. And this is why i have been doing it so much lately. In creative writing if you hate capital letters and punctuation you can make them go away forever because you are creating art that will exist in a persons mind so punctuation police and grammar fascists can go write books for no one to read. i am okay with that. telling me to put a period somewhere is the same thing as telling me to paint a still life. i am well aware of how i write and i like it i mean its fun and i like it because in my mind it sounds like i am rambling on and on when i read something outloud.
iambic pentameter is cool. But it won’t be used by me at least not on purpose. Same goes for photo realistic paintings or glazing techniques. all beautiful all their own things and all not me. i am grateful for people who are positive and supportive. genuinely supportive as i make a decision that i think will be really great for me. i think doing visual art and creative writing simultaneously will be fantastic. i really want to go to sarah lawrence as days at fit get lower and lower.
today at a writing lecture about islamic writers i confessed i dumped my therapist for writing.
still think it was a really great idea.

i collaborated on a piece of art work with stephanie (head of the fine arts dept. at fit) melissa (dept coordinator) and my painting professor marcy rosenblat. there is an opening dedicated to collaboration.

M55 Art is pleased to announce the opening of “REMOTE” on November 2nd running through November 21st, 2010.

In this exhibition artists were asked to collaborate on a single piece of art, but to do it “remotely” without discussion or any type of shared vision about the concept or final product. One artist initiated the piece then simply passed it off to the next artist and so on and so forth. To capture the process by which each piece was altered from its previous state; a photo was taken before it was passed to the hands of the next artist and hangs adjacent to the artwork in the exhibition.

This exhibition aims to emphasize the dialogue created when making art becomes a collective experience. The methodologies of making art and means by which one brings art to an audience become an integral part of the process. It addresses the sense of sacredness one has towards their own work by asking the participants to give up control, hence inviting chance and spontaneity.

i should do the safe thing. my best bet. these are just the voices of other peoples lives. an advertising major asked me what i would do with a degree in fine art and i replied 'go to yale' and i want to go there. i want a sort of education and happiness in my life that may make me stressed, miserable and in need of horse tranquilizers but its worth it. i asked the advertising major what she would do with her degree besides convince people to buy things they do not need. she slid her thumb across her four fingers. money. i have never had it so why start now? i have decided to get my first mfa in creative writing. i made it my third minor and in creative writing i have a voice. it may not be good considering i just discovered my lungs. my tar filled lungs. i am thinking sarah lawrence. i like the atmosphere there. i am still researching i just do not want to go to another state school. and oh how i am sick of being surrounded by fashion majors who look a me strangely. but really its not my fault they can not afford alexander wang and have to settle for jeffery cambpell. or whatever.
